Catherine Lutes | Director of Photography
Since graduating from the UBC Film Programme in 2003, Catherine has shot a wide variety of film and television projects, encompassing fiction, documentary, art installation and music videos. To her credit, she has shot two feature films—Chris Ruffato’s The Zoo Project (2005) and Ryan Arnold’s Ltd (2005)—and over fifteen short films, including all three installments of The Patterns Trilogy, Jesse McKeown’s Vancouver (TIFF 2005) and Kaare Andrews’ Unwritten (TIFF 2005). Tristan Orchard’s The Moustache Club (2003), for which Catherine served as director of photography and co-producer, went on from festival success to television broadcast on Canada’s The Comedy Network. This past year, she has been shooting both the second season of the Bravo! documentary series On Screen! and music videos for up-and-coming bands The Manvils and Eliasband.
