Kevin Hamilton | Sound Designer
Based in Vancouver, Kevin Hamilton has worked extensively in almost all aspects of post-production sound and music, from sound editing to sound mixing to composing and arranging. As an audio engineer at Vancouver’s Koko Productions in the early 90s, Kevin worked on ad campaigns for such high-profile clients as Honda and Disney. He produced Moist’s multi-platinum 1994 album Silver and has since worked with such recording artists as Sarah McLachlan and the Grapes of Wrath. Since 2002, Kevin has run his own sound studio Fresh Air Audio, at which he covers post-production sound for many Vancouver series (such as Suzuki Speaks and Human Trials) and engineers soundtracks for numerous local composers. For his work on the first Patterns installment, Kevin won the 2005 Leo Award for Best Sound Editing in a Short Drama and the 2005 Golden Sheaf Award for Best Overall Sound. He also recorded and mixed the live piano quintet score for Jamie Travis’ The Saddest Boy in the World.
